BIOGRAPHY

Born in October 1967 in Heidelberg, Germany, Philipp's career in Square Dancing started in 1976 at the age of 8. Where he attended a class for children only, dancing in Mannheim on Sunday afternoons.

Even before his graduation he sang his first singing call. From there he realized he had a "higher calling" and in 1983 he started his active calling career. In the same year he joined ECTA.

In 1984 Philipp became Club Caller for his first club, the Heilbronn Homesteaders. Through the years he has also called for the Crailsheim Country Squares, the Heidelberg Hoedowners and the Crossfires Mannheim, a Plus Club that he founded. Today Philipp is the Caller for the Kut Ups Karlsruhe.

Special Dances and Jamborees took Philipp through most of Germany and the countries of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Switzerland.

Singing is Philipp's passion - it's what caused him to start calling. Philipp always had the dream of recording his talents. In 1999 that dream came true when he was fortunate enough to release his first CD - STILL ROCK AND ROLL TO ME. Another dream - recording his own singing call - came true in June 2004 when he had the chance to release a Singing Call on Snow Records.

Philipp is happily married to his wife Silvia. Together with their two girls Samira and Chiara they are living in a tiny place called Heidelsheim located half way between Heidelberg and Karlsruhe.
