STING AND SNOW PRODUCTIONS - DECEMBER 2009 NEWS-LETTER

December, being the final month of 2009 reminds me of the words of a much wiser man than me who said: "all good things must come to an end…". Hopefully, 2009 has been a good year for you and all those that you hold dear, also - as the year draws to an end - I hope that you have managed to achieve the targets that you set for yourself and that some of those will have brought an improvement to Square Dancing in your area, in which case - keep up the good work!

Notwithstanding your experiences and achievements in 2009, whatever they may have been, I sincerely hope that 2010 will be even more bountiful and - on behalf of the staff at Sting and Snow Records - I wish you a happy holiday season and a great new year.

Unfortunately, I have no news of any new music production. I am still "investigating" options and hope to find a way to continue but I have to accept that we may be going the way of 2009, as mentioned in my first sentence of this month's News-Letter - it could be that this "good thing" is "coming to an end".

Over the next few months I will be faced with many difficult decisions that I can no longer avoid. With no new music being recorded, there seems little point in sending out regular News-Letters and the future of the web-site has to be "under consideration" as it is quite expensive to keep it going along the lines that we currently offer.

However, for the short term, you can expect to continue to receive my monthly messages.

As you may recall, in one of my earlier News-Letters, I stated that no record company ever announces that it is "going out of business" but there does come a point where even the most active will start to "fade away" as a consequence of inactivity. Our products will still continue to be available and we shall continue to sell from our library of tunes for as long as we can cover the costs associated with distribution.

Who knows what might be "around the corner"? Perhaps the market will rise to the point where new music can be produced. It is the Christmas season and that's a time for hopes to flourish. As soon as I know for sure what is happening, I will let you know through this News-Letter.
