| STING AND SNOW PRODUCTIONS - FEBRUARY 2004 NEWS-LETTER |
Hello and welcome to the new, greatly improved, Sting and Snow web-site.
This is the first edition of a regular, monthly, News-Letter that will tell you all that there is to be told about what to expect this month from our company.
It is also intended to bring you news of any nature that pertains to our activities i.e. the Record Label's as well as the recording artists. As well as this
News-Letter, the web-Site will be regularly up-dated, so it's probably a good idea to "Book-Mark" this site and visit regularly!
THIS MONTH'S NEW MUSIC:
During February we will be releasing seven pieces of music.
three of these will be re-releases of "Out-Of-Print" vinyl that is being specially re-pressed to meet demand.
The titles are: "Trust Me" with Thorsten Geppert, "Bubble and Squeak" a called hoedown with
Paul Bristow and "I See The Moon" with Robert Björk, together with "People Like Me" and
"Blanket On The Ground" both featuring Paul Bristow. These titles have been requested by a large number of callers
and will be available in vinyl as well as in MP3 file format.
The other two releases are the MP3 files of "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?" with Stefan Sidholm and a
double instrumental hoedown/patter "Rag-Tag / Bobtail". These two tunes have previously only been available in
vinyl but we now have the MP3 licences.
All of our new music, in both vinyl or MP3 format can be purchased on-line from our Exclusive Master Stocking Distributor
Hanhurst's Tape and Record Service at www.Dosado.com/Sir.htm.
We are pleased to be able to offer audio samples of 100% of our back catalogue, through this same site.
FUTURE RELEASES: (Full details on the Future Releases link)
Last November Sting and Snow records visited Nashville and recorded fourteen new singing calls as well as seven new
hoedown/patter releases. These, together with other previously recorded tunes, will be released over the next
eighteen months; to guarantee that you receive your copy as soon as it becomes available check out
our Standing Order Offer. We also took the opportunity to
visit United Record Pressings and meet the
staff who work so hard making the vinyl discs that we use. During the visit we received a "conducted tour" of the premises
viewing each stage of vinyl production; we actually saw copies of SIR 324 "Here Comes The Night" being pressed!
RECENT RELEASES:
Our January releases SIR 332 "I'm Checkin' Out" and SNW 505 "Party On! / Cracker Barrel" have received good
reviews and initial signs are that they will be top sellers. Check out all of our releases on the
New Releases link. To buy all of our music and to hear the older
tunes try the Buy The Music and Listen To The
Music links.
