| STING AND SNOW PRODUCTIONS - JULY 2007 NEWS-LETTER |
July!!! YES summer has taken a firm grip on the U.K. Torrential rain in parts has caused flooding and houses have been evacuated, there is some talk of the
water companies declaring a drought… Whilst the days are somewhat warmer, there does not seem to be a great deal of sunshine… Is it just me, or does a
bsolutely none of this make sense? The older I get the more I discover that there is often little room for "logic" in most things, which is considerably
unsettling. However, if we can take things at "face value", perhaps we can draw a few conclusions that are quite optimistic!
Once again Sting and Snow have done very well in the Best Seller listings. As well as our excellent performance in the Hanhurst's Best Seller "Top-Ten", I am
pleased to see that we are faring pretty well in the A & S Record Shop's "Top-Five". In case you don't know A & S Record Shop is one of the few remaining
successful Square Dance Record retailers in the United States, they are based in Macon, Georgia and have a web-site at www.asrecords.com which features a
monthly Top-Sellers list. I often refer to this to see how our sales are doing for a U.S. based - as opposed to an International - retailer; if you live
somewhere other than the USA, it's well worth a visit to the A & S web-site, to see what the U.S. callers are choosing.
Maybe our continued good fortune in the various best-seller listings will soon lead to a significant increase in record sales. At present, there does seem to
be a small improvement in sales. Hopefully this will continue and we will soon be able to look to the future with a degree of certainty - I sincerely hope so…

Okay now I am going to try a little "blind faith"; it's July, it's Summer, so I am going to strip down to my swimming trunks, grab a cold home-made lemonade and
head out into the garden for an easy afternoon… Have a great month of calling and/or dancing "speak" with you next month!
