STING AND SNOW PRODUCTIONS - JUNE 2006 NEWS-LETTER

June is here - and with it the promise of "Summer"! Here in the U.K. (well in the South-East), we have been told to expect a "Hosepipe Ban", because we are facing a "Drought" and we have been warned that we may have our domestic water supplies "cut-off" and then obtain water from "stand-pipes" in the street! We did not have enough rain in April and May, thus our otherwise "excellent" water distribution system cannot cope… All this - and for the last two weeks it has rained everyday… I suppose that the philosophical response to this is that "The Best Laid Plans O' Mice and Men Gang Aft Aglay" - as Robert Burns, the great Scottish poet put it!

There is not much to report, this month, so - rather than risk "boring" you further, I am just going to mention the other "News":

BEST SELLER LISTING:
Our April Releases took both the No.2 and No.5 spots on the combined Hanhurst's/Palomino listing on the dosado.com web-site. The results were: No.2 for "Hit The Road, Jack" - featuring Special Guest Caller Reine Hjärtström and No.5 for "When Will I See You Again?" - with Thorsten Geppert; yet another great result!

NEW RELEASES:
Our new vinyl releases for May are: - the Beatles tune, "Good Morning Starshine" (vocal by Paul Bristow) and "Tip-Top / Rock-Bottom" (a double instrumental, hoedown/patter record)

Our June MP3 releases will be - "Georgy Girl" (vocal by Paul Bristow) and "Can't Stop Loving You" (vocal by Robert Björk) - visit the Listen To The Music link on the web-site, to hear and/or buy this on the Sting and Snow page at Hanhurst's Tape and Record Service.

INDIVIDUAL RECORD HISTORIES including ALL THE ADDITIONAL LYRICS
: As all the previously released records have now been covered, this month's history sheet features our newest singing call release: Good Morning Starshine

Our new Hoedown/Patter release is: "Tip-Top / Rock-Bottom" and an Audio Clip of this is featured this month; check out the Catalogue and Latest Releases pages, to hear this tune.

BTW - this year marked Hazel and my 25th Wedding Anniversary - my thanks to all of you who sent us messages, either through the regular mail or via the Internet; it's great to know how many friends we have out there! Well I have to make preparations for the drought, so as soon as it stops raining - I will go out and hang my hose-pipe up in the "do-not-use" section of the garden shed… "speak" with you month!

Go Squareful! - Paul Bristow (Owner and Producer Sting and Snow Records)
