STING AND SNOW PRODUCTIONS - MARCH 2009 NEWS-LETTER

March is upon us, which is probably great news - unless you are Julius Caesar, in which case "beware the ides…"! March (here in the U.K.) is traditionally a month of "blustery winds" that will sweep away a lot of the old dross and make way for the new crops and flowers that will soon bud, blossom and bloom as the season of Spring begins. New growth, new life, new ideas - that sounds like what we need, in Square Dancing!

Robert Burns (25 January 1759 - 21 July 1796; also known as Rabbie Burns, Scotland's favourite son) famously wrote, in his poem "To A Mouse, On Turning Her Up In Her Nest With The Plough" the following words :- "The best-laid schemes o' mice an 'men Gang aft agley", which means that - no matter how hard you try to plan for every eventuality, there's still a chance that your plans won't work - and I am going to use that as the reason for some major changes in the Sting and Snow Records release schedule that have occurred, this month!

Any of you who - carefully - follow the future releases page on this web-site, will be wondering what happened. However, out of deference to those of you who are not too interested in "tales of woe", I will not provide a detailed explanation - I shall just quote Robert Burns (as I have above) and ask that you "bear with me". The revised release schedule is the "best guess" that I can make as to when the tunes will be ready for release and thus when they might become available; I shall do my best to stick with this plan - but would ask for your understanding, if further revisions need to be made...

So - on the basis of the revised schedule - here is the "other news":

Okay, I am going to return to my Robert Burns books now and see if I can find some more suitable poetic (or prosaic) quotations that might help explain whatever may happen during the next month!

Notwithstanding that, I am looking forward to "Speaking" with you all again, on next month's News-Letter!
