STING AND SNOW PRODUCTIONS - SEPTEMBER 2005 NEWS-LETTER

September marks a special "celebration" for me and for Sting and Snow records. Since taking over the company and the production and release of records, I have maintained a steady output at an approximate rate of two-tunes-per-month and September will be the month in which I release my 100th tune; that's a "Century"! As some of you may know the "Century" is the most renowned score to achieve in the wonderful old English game of Cricket - any Batsman who achieves this total is deemed to be a good player - and that's how I hope that the Square Dance world sees our company; as a "good player" in terms of Square Dance music.

Out of these 100 releases, 95 have featured in the top ten and 67 have featured in the top five of the "Best Seller" listings, which is a pretty impressive "performance" - however you look at it!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who buy and use our music; without you we would not be able to enjoy this level of success. For our part we shall "strive" to continue to make the best music that we can - available - for the best activity in the World!

Okay, so now I am on my way to Nashville; a super list of tunes to record and a great deal of fun to be had (i.e. hard - but enjoyable - work). Making the trip with me, this year, is the Associate Producer - James Wyatt - so there is a good chance that things will run even smoother; James has an excellent "sense" of good music! I will write more upon my return…

BEST SELLER LISTING:
One of our July releases - "Bright / Breezy", came in at No.6 on the combined Hanhurst's/Palomino listing on the dosado.com web-site; our second release "Without You" (an original song, written for Square Dancing) achieved a very respectable No.7!

The histories contain details about each original song, including it's production and provide the extra lyrics - as featured on the called side. You can access these by "clicking" on the open-book picture , on the Catalogue, Latest Releases and Future Releases pages.

THE FORUM:
Finally, don't forget to visit the Forum and join in the discussions that are taking place on a variety of SD related topics. Do you have a "burning issue" that you would like to discuss? Do you have any comments about Sting and Snow music - or SD music in general? When you have a moment, take the time to "throw your hat into the ring"!

Okay, I am off to finish packing my case - let me see, "underwear", "shirts", "Trousers", "Toothbrush" and the "2005 New-Music-To-Be-Recorded-File"; yes I think that's everything! Have a great month, talk to you again - with news of our trip - on the October News-Letter.

Go Squareful! - Paul Bristow (Owner and Producer Sting and Snow Records)
