| STING AND SNOW PRODUCTIONS - SEPTEMBER 2009 NEWS-LETTER |
September signals a "fond farewell" to the sublime, sunny, sultry days of Summer and takes us into the season of Autumn (or - as our American cousins have named
it - "the Fall"); the season where we will begin to "reap what we have sown", as our agricultural collectives and colleagues harvest their crops.
Unfortunately, all the seeds that we have sown, over the past few years at Sting and Snow Records, have failed to produce a "crop" of sales sufficient to
sustain production through the current crisis and so - as I reported last month - we are headed for a "hiatus".
I am still "considering" the options that may be available to us, in the absence of any new music; as I said last month we have been forced to shelve our
Nashville plans for this year. In view of the ever-lower sales figures we will have to tread carefully with any new production; the average sales have fallen
to such an extent that there is a real doubt as to whether we can continue - there are not enough customers.
Hopefully, we shall be able to find a way to continue producing music but - as always - we would love to hear from you, if you have any ideas!
On a more positive point, when you have a moment, please check out the updated biographical page for my daughter, Cherish (on the "Guest Caller" drop-down above).
Cherish has recorded one of our new vocals, this month and I thought that I should let you all know how her career as a student of music is progressing.
Here is the "other news" for September:
